Description:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience:
  • Strong engineering background with expertise in mechanical design.
  • AutoCAD experience is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or other 3D design software.
  • Experience working with BOM (Bill of Materials).
  • Proficiency in English is required, Portuguese native
  • Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with SAP PLM or similar Product Lifecycle Management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to perform detailed mechanical calculations and design.

YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our Configure to Order (CTO) team, specializing in the configuration of mechanical Bill of Materials (BOM) for conveyor systems. The candidate will be responsible for preparing assembly layouts and installation designs, ensuring project requirements are met, and supporting both workshop assembly and site installation. This position offers a dynamic role that requires problem-solving, collaboration with various teams, and contribution to continuous improvement efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure mechanical BOM for conveyor systems, ensuring accuracy for both workshop assembly and site shipment.
  • Prepare industrial assembly layouts for workshop and installation.
  • Perform necessary calculations (motor-chain-footing, etc.) for the project.
  • Design or support custom designs, coordinating with the special design team as needed.
  • Provide support to the workshop or site teams in resolving issues during assembly or installation.
  • Participate in various CTO process meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Ensure BOM delivery meets project specifications and timelines.
  • Follow the SAP BOM and components creation process, providing support to Material Management for ECO releases.
  • Support and interact with various stakeholders including the CTO Electrical team, special design teams, ESL, and Workshop/FSE for on-site support.
