About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer Feeding & Dosing you will be responsible for technical order execution of orders from our customer all around the globe. You will be the key driver for planning those projects and processing the orders together with our customers.
The Feeding & Dosing Technologies product line is part of the Business Line Capital in the Cement industry. The purpose of Feeding & Dosing Technologies is to support our global Cement customers with industry-leading feeding and dosing equipment to improve their plant operations and reduce its carbon footprint. The Engineering team in Augsburg, Germany is the technical project execution hub for our global orders.
Your responsibilities
- Gather and define mechanical requirements in project discussions with the customers
- Design the mechanical layout / installations and generate the bill of material in an ERP system
- Prepare 3D drawings of our equipment
- Preparation of other project related documents as required
- Tracking the assembly progress, ensuring deadlines and cost control
- Gather feedback from assembly as well as customers and align improvement initiatives
- Carry out factory acceptance tests at the workshop or sub-suppliers
What you bring
- Degree in mechanical engineering
- At least 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering department, customer service or similar function
- Understanding of the cement process would be helpful
- Experience in CAD, preferred Autocad 2D and Solid Works 3D
- Capability to work in global matrix organization
- Advanced English
