WHAT YOU’VE ACCOMPLISHED

You have completed a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or Mechatronics Engineering. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 2 years, registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) with the PEO, and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

  • Nuclear Site Access Security Clearance will be required prior to start of work.

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Mechanical Engineer in Pickering, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Under direct supervision, this role includes standard engineering work requiring application of standard established techniques and procedures to carry out tasks in support of Nuclear Facilities.
  • Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting complete tasks or portions of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff.
  • Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing, and maintaining structures, systems, and components.
  • Provides engineering advice, as needed.
  • Performs standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
  • Receives assistance and instructions on unusual or more complex features and possible solutions, as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with government, organization, and customer engineering standards.
  • May independently evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Works on special projects, as directed.
  • Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
  • Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies
  • Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd
