QUALIFICATIONS:
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
- Registered or eligible to register with the PEO as a P.ENG
- 8+ years of working experience in design, process, maintenance engineering and engineering management within in the Nuclear, Power, or Industrial Facilities is considered an asset
- Previous Nuclear Mechanical Maintenance and/or Consulting Engineering experience is considered as asset
- Experience in communicating with other design disciplines and having an appreciation for the impact of their designs on other design disciplines is an asset;
- Must have strong computer oriented skills (familiarity with Autocad, MS Office, Numerical Methods Solutions.)
- Working experience in principles and practices of nuclear engineering as applied to design and construction of projects is preferred.
- Coaching, professional service management, communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Experienced in the use of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Effective communication, organization and presentation skills
- Must be able to receive Security Clearance
Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer for our Pickering ON office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of skilled engineers, designers, procurement and construction
- Performs, and is responsible for, varied mechanical engineering assignments requiring general familiarity with a broad field of engineering and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/fields;
- Solve problems by use of combinations of standard and modified standard procedures, or methods developed in previous assignments;
- Participate in planning required to achieve prescribed objectives;
- Responsible for supervising large groups of professionals and non-professionals or small groups of specialized engineers or as a highly specialized maintenance/technical engineer in servicing heavy industrial clients in the Nuclear Sector
