Description:
HYDRAULIC DESIGN FOR TWO-STROKE ENGINE DESIGN
Do you want to be a part of the green transition and help decarbonize the two-stroke propulsion engines? At MAN Energy Solutions we are designing the future engines for alternative fuels within the maritime industry. By using our vast experience along with innovative and creative development, we seek to change the traditional way of fueling two-stroke engines. As an employee at MAN Energy Solutions, you will have the opportunity to develop a green future together with highly talented colleagues. Together we are moving big things to zero!
Responsibilities:
As our new Mechanical Engineer, you will be working in the Hydraulics and Control Department where we calculate and design the hydraulic equipment for two-stroke engines.
We are working with cutting-edge technology within hydraulic pumps, control blocks and piping that requires design with high mechanical reliability.
Our work is within technology areas that very few companies operate in, trying to reach new standards for how we deal with an increasing need for green fuel solutions.
You will:
- Design hydraulic pump units (both mechanically and electrically driven), control blocks, piping and other mechanical parts by means of CAD tools and calculations.
- Ensure that the design is compliant with the requirement specification and rules, e.g. design review, risk assessment and documentation of design changes.
- Be creative and bring new ideas and perspectives to the way we work.
- Conduct meetings with colleagues and external partners (e.g. sub-suppliers and Licensees).
- Cooperate and communicate with stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Troubleshoot on issues on existing equipment together with our superintendents.
You will be the responsible engineer for specific areas and be the “go-to” person for your nearest colleagues and customers. You are expected to participate in retrofit projects, where you as an expert in your area, will help rebuild the existing fleet into higher efficiency with greener fuel types.
