JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for the equipment and process design, development, verification, and implementation. The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial equipment and processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, and improve sustainability and quality of product.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
3 to 5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering
Proven work experience in process equipment engineering (medical devices industry is plus)
- Excellent technical skills. Minimum Intermediate SolidWorks or CAD skills
- Ability to research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements based on fundamental engineering principles
- Experience in thermoforming of plastics, laser marking is plus
- Working knowledge of CNC machines and processes is plus
- Knowledge of process related standards
- Experience in process simulations (FEA is plus)
- Working knowledge of process engineering software packages (Geomagic, T-SIM, NCSIMUL, Hypermill, Mastercam)
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations (FDA Regulations & ISO 13485 Knowledge)
- Experience in process/equipment validation and documentation is a plus
- Strong industrial process troubleshooting skills and ability to solve the problem
- Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
- Team player
LANUGUAGE SKILLS:
English communications skills, both written and oral are required.Ability to speak, and read a foreign language is a plus, Bilingual preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and operating procedures. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization is required.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, design and optimize industrial processes machines and devices from inception to test production and validation
- Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data as a feedback to design
- Participate in design, run, test and upgrade manufacturing systems and processes
- Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
- Perform design simulations
- Manage cost and time constraints
- Perform risk assessments
- Provide complete documentation package and operating instructions
- Lead and guide process verification and validation activity in collaboration with RA and QE
- Train and supervise staff on new development processes and technology
