JOB SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Engineer specializing in drainage and water supply is responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing systems related to water distribution, drainage, and wastewater treatment. The role involves ensuring efficient and sustainable water management solutions, complying with regulatory standards, and addressing technical challenges related to water supply and drainage systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 05 - 08 years of UAE experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on drainage and water supply systems.
- Proven experience with design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of water supply and drainage systems, including hydraulic calculations and fluid dynamics.
- Proficiency in mechanical system design, including experience with pumps, valves, and piping systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Develop and design mechanical systems for water supply and drainage, including pumps, pipes, valves, and treatment equipment.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for water distribution and wastewater management systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Project Management:
- Manage projects from concept through to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems for water and drainage infrastructure.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Technical Analysis and Troubleshooting:
- Perform technical analysis and modeling to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to water supply and drainage systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on existing systems.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all designs and implementations meet industry regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to regulatory agencies.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other professionals to integrate mechanical systems with overall building and infrastructure designs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams and clients.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and recommendations to stakeholders.
