Description:
Develops & delivers the effective engineering and maintenance strategy for the Engineering Team, having resource and financial planning and control to ensure the operation, engineering health, integrity and performance of the asset, in a safe, efficient and sustainable manner, maximising the commercial benefit within legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Development and Implementation of Engineering and Maintenance Strategies, Policies and Procedures to achieve measured station performance as defined in the Business Plan.
- Assessment of critical plant and the use of reliability centred maintenance techniques to review and optimise all planned and preventative maintenance activities within plant area of responsibility.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through the job plan improvement and failure reporting and corrective action system (FRACAS) processes, conducting root cause problem solving where required
- Input into MTP Business Plan, development of medium and long-term improvement and investment strategies, including Station Outage strategy projecting major parts replacements and midlife/re-life projects.
- Management of the site’s Asset Risk database to reflect significant changes to plant condition arising from plant refurbishment, modification or identification of emerging risks. Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvements in plant, maintenance or outage practices
- Design and delivery of technically complex projects, with delegated management of Outage and Project work, ensuring work is completed to programme, budget and quality.
- Lead Reviewer for Plant Modification, coordinates Technical Design Review and approval for implementation.
- Advising on the requirement for, and preparing effective contract technical specifications, and facilitating the tender assessment, placement and the subsequent management of these contracts.
- Network and benchmark outside of Enfield, Grain and Taylors Lane Power Stations, forming excellent working relationships with other areas of Uniper that support the role including Procurement, Asset Management, UTL, and develop relationships with other sites to ensure best practice within areas of responsibility.
- Support the the technical development of their discipline engineers within Delivery team.
- Work with and support Production, Maintenance Delivery Team and contracting partners to ensure the maintenance strategy and running regime are optimised to maximise the asset.
