Description:
In this role, you will provide owner’s engineer and independent engineering services to clients, including design reviews, technical due diligence, feasibility studies, project development support, and technical risk assessments. This position will require you to analyze power projects and distill technical concepts and information into actionable conclusions and recommendations on which project developers, owners, and financial institutions rely to develop, design, construct, operate, and finance energy projects being built in generally the MENA/CIS region and United States. As the mechanical lead you will also be the responsible engineer in charge of coordinating other disciplines support, managing the engagements budget, being the main point of contact for the Client, and monitoring project work scope. You will work with multi-discipline project teams to provide a variety of services, such as the following:
- Advise power project developers to support new thermal (Combined Cycle/CCGT and Cogeneration), desalination (SWRO) projects, and new energy (Hydrogen/Ammonia and CCUS)
- Perform owner’s engineer design reviews of mechanical systems for power and water projects
- Participate as mechanical lead in feasibility studies and development support for new power and water projects
- Participate in condition assessments of existing power plants
- Prepare and review other engineering deliverables such as reports, studies, and calculations
- Evaluate new power and infrastructure projects to support financing;
- Develop planning studies and business cases for utilities, power producers, and government agencies.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets
- Conduct multiple projects simultaneously and ensure high standards of deliverables are met
- Interface with clients to understand requests and confirm successful project execution
- Prepare proposals for new business development opportunities
- Travel from time to time to visit project locations and client offices.
