OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

We are seeking a high-performing person to provide hands-on management to the Platform Engineering team, and to be a key player in the areas of product development. You will possess a broad range of Semiconductor design and development skills and experience, a record of guiding teams from product concept through validation and into manufacturing, as well as in-depth knowledge in several products and technical areas.

You will have a big role to ensure design process implementation in the different design stages and ensure high-quality output.

  • Plays a major role in meeting or exceeding division goals.
  • Manages staff, internal and external resources to produce prototype devices and components for testing and evaluation of designs.
  • Participates in brainstorming and design reviews. Maintains standards of excellence in all product development processes.
  • Participates in the sponsor reviews activities to ensure the completion of projects on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Intervenes and contributes to successful resolution of technical issues when they arise.
  • Ensures that all direct reports are properly accounted in the Aggregate Project Plan (APP) and any offline upcoming work.
  • Support and mentor less-experienced employees, while driving change.
  • Manages large product development projects when required. Prepares project plans that define phases, tasks, durations, resource assignments, and costs.
  • Proactively communicates assignments to those individuals responsible, ensures that tasks are completed within the planned time, and reports project status to the project’s client company.
  • Responsible that all work satisfies the requirements of the company’s phase gate, with particular emphasis on Design quality.
  • Supervises product development staff located in Costa Rica
  • Must be able to travel to Costa Rica a minimum of 2 weeks a quarter, and may need to travel more in the beginning and during the year depending of project needs.
