Description:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Fitter Machinist or Equivalent Trade Qualification
- Some level of experience in Fitting of mechanical parts
- Safe work Attitude
- Exhibit behaviour that encourages teamwork, problem solving and continuous improvement
- Basic Computer knowledge
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
- Pump and Seal repair experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for the dismantle, clean, and inspect processes of mechanical seals. In this role the Mechanical Fitter will utilize precision inspection equipment to measure dimensions of components, make as found report, assemble and test. The Mechanical Fitter will also repair and assemble equipment meeting quality standards, company policies, and on-time delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and understand Technical drawing
- Disassemble, Clean, Inspecting of Mechanical seals
- Use of Bead-blasting and other cleaning equipment’s.
- Repair / reconditioning of parts
- Lap / Inspect components
- Take Picture and Make Seal Condition report in Computer
- Simple machining work on Manual lathe
- Inspection of reconditioned and new components various precision measuring tools
- Assembly and testing of cartridge seals to specifications
- Meet Occupational Health & Safety requirements
- Following of 6S and House keeping
- Other duties as assigned
