Mechanical Foreman / Commercial Plumber - opportunities in both Dublin and Cork
Midland Heating and Plumbing Ltd. t/a Kerrigan Mechanical is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman in the Dublin region for an immediate start.
We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Foreman to join the commercial division of the company. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role and be responsible for the overall running of commercial projects.
The Mechanical Foreman will report to the Managing Director and will oversee and build relationships with the site staff and the wider site team including subcontractors, clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for handling day to day activities to include all aspects of the contract to include labour, material, sub contractors and all relevant requirements to the legal and practical completion of the contract.
Input with other Management in relation to Sourcing & Procurement of all Main Plant requirements at the best price and in a timely manner to suit site program requirements.
Managing employees of Midland Heating & Plumbing Ltd. and subcontractors in terms of quality control, adherence to work schedules and progress reports together with all procedural company documentation, ensuring all works adhere to legal requirements inclusive of building regulations.
Organising and leading on site meetings of MHP Ltd direct and contracted staff as required.
Overseeing weekly progressing targets for the site team, in turn producing a monthly progression report for the Contracts Manager/MD.
Staying abreast of any issues on site that stand in the way of the completion of the work.
Attendance at on site meetings when required by the Client, always representing the best interests of this Company.
Enforcing overall adherence to Health & Safety Policies in accordance with legislation.
Liaison with QS, Purchasing and Accounts Departments in terms of internal day to day procedures.
To develop a close professional working relationship with the Client throughout the duration of the project, to progress to an agreed standard of handover covering all aspects as per contractual obligations.
Client hand over is essential, the successful candidate will be required to represent the company at hand over stage and assist the Engineer in detailing the final hand over documents like O&M manual and commissioning - the individual must show the relevant site experience in project hand overs.
