Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for all aspects related to mechanical equipment, package equipment such as vessel, tank, agitator, pump, motor, and other machines (Cooling tower, Air Compressor, Chiller…etc).
This position exists to provide engineering expertise to optimize the utilization of physical assets and technology resources to manufacture the highest quality products in the most efficient and effective manner, reduce costs and increase operating profit.
The maintenance engineer increases productivity, reliability, and lowers costs. This is accomplished by analyzing high cost and failure assets and working with operations and maintenance to develop improvements in procedures or design improvements. This person will also sustain a safe and healthy working environment that meets environmental, health, and safety regulations and Company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

REQUIRED/PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
  • Minimum 5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience - Preferably for chemical processing manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of basic of Heat Transfer, Kinetics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Statics and Dynamics, Engineering Economics.
  • Working knowledge for ASME/API code, such as ASME Sec. VIII div 1, B31.3, API 570, 650 and 653.. etc.
  • Must have equipment such as pump, motor, agitator, cooling tower troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
  • Must have supervise ASME metal piping and ASME/API code equipment welding experience
  • Must have Auto CAD skill
  • Vibration spectrum analysis skill preferred
  • ASNT (The American Society for Nondestructive Testing) VT certification for welding preferred.
  • Team management experience and skill preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Must be available to work shifts and work overtime depending on business needs
  • On-call is required under operation phase
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
  • Compliance with Process safety, ergonomics, OSHA, environmental agencies, applicable codes, and regulatory agencies
  • Must be capable of making decisions and recommendations with minimal supervision.
