Description:
Progesys is a leader in industrial plant commissioning, project management, and specialized engineering services. Based in Laval (Canada) since 2002, the company also has offices in the United States, the Middle East, and Asia. Progesys is currently seeking a Mechanical Planner to join its team.
As a Mechanical Planner, you will be responsible for detailed planning and coordination of scheduled maintenance shutdowns. You will work closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure all planned tasks are completed on time and meet safety and quality standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical planning and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
- Advanced project management skills and proficiency with planning software (e.g., Oracle CMMS, SAP PM, Microsoft Project).
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal relationship management skills.
- Ability to work in rotation schedules and remote (camp) environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed planning and scheduling for multidisciplinary tasks.
- Review maintenance work requests and create comprehensive plans with required resources.
- Coordinate with area supervisors to prepare the weekly maintenance schedule.
- Organize and lead weekly coordination meetings to finalize the maintenance schedule.
- Review preventive maintenance requests and create bills of materials for assets.
- Follow up with vendors throughout the supply chain and create purchase requests/purchase orders where necessary.
- Ensure Management of Change (MOC) project scopes of work are created, scheduled, and executed.
- Assist with planning various plant shutdowns and outages, including manpower allocation, resource loading, material procurement, and scheduling.
