Description:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum BEng in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in the consumer electronics industry, including design, new product introduction, and manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated initiative, autonomy, and drive to achieve results.
  • Experience with electronic cigarette or heated tobacco device product development and manufacturing would be an advantage.
  • Experience with regulatory submissions (PMTA, NDA, etc.).
  • Able to deal with a fast paced changing environment and with changeable requirements.

In this role, you will spearhead new Heated Tobacco Devices introduction projects and enhance our manufacturing capabilities, working closely with both our internal teams and partner factories. Your expertise in mechanical process setup, coupled with your ability to solve complex problems, will be instrumental in delivering high-quality products that exceed market expectations. As the Mechanical Project Engineer, you will join an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead product and process implementation projects to facilitate Imperial’s Next Generation Product Pipeline.
  • Drive technical troubleshooting and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on products, ensuring best practice methodology to define, analyse, improve, and control both product and process.
  • Generate, embed, and continuously improve Engineering ways of working and SOPs to support all qualification and validation activities within the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders and interface with Quality and Operations teams to ensure successful implementation of agreed processes and procedures.
  • Interface with the R&D team and manufacturing sites to ensure a smooth transition from design to manufacturing, maintaining current and thorough documentation throughout.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory teams to ensure compliance for all product and process introductions on changes globally, supporting PMTA submissions as required
