Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical QAQC Engineer to join our team for a tunnel construction MEP fit-out project in Riyadh. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for all mechanical aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and client requirements. This position requires a proactive professional with a strong background in QA/QC engineering within the construction and MEP sectors.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of QAQC engineering experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in mechanical systems and MEP fit-out for large infrastructure projects.
- Certifications: Relevant QAQC certifications are preferred, such as ISO 9001 Quality Management or ASME.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in construction, quality management processes, and relevant standards. Proficiency in QAQC tools and software.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English;
Responsibilities:
- Quality Control & Assurance: Oversee all QAQC activities related to mechanical systems in the tunnel construction project, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Material & Installation Verification: Ensure that all materials, equipment, and installations comply with approved specifications, industry standards, and project requirements.
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate testing of mechanical installations to identify any non-conformance, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare QAQC documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and quality records, maintaining comprehensive records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordination: Collaborate with the consultants, contractors, and project teams to address quality issues and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor the compliance of construction practices with local and international standards, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local regulations.
- Project Meetings: Participate in project progress meetings, quality review meetings, and technical coordination sessions, contributing QAQC insights and updates.
