Description:

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent. In lieu of diploma 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
  • Ability to wear and effectively utilize respiratory protection.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory DOT drug test and participate in a random testing program, as per FAA/DOT regulations.
  • Basic communication and computer skills, enabling efficient information management.
  • Precision in measurements, maintaining strict adherence to tolerances.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding manuals, procedures, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Completion of all necessary training to obtain Valve Shop Certifications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS WE WOULD PREFER:

  • Experience with a wide variety of cylinders, demonstrating versatility and expertise.

WORKING CONDITIONS – PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Standing for approximately 95% of the time.
  • Ability to input, retrieve, access, and send information via computer.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and stand during inspections of parts.
  • Capability to lift materials, units, or cylinders weighing 50-80 pounds with assistance.
  • Occasional exposure to vapors from solvents and adhesives.
  • Requirement to wear steel-toed shoes and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.

Join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring safety and reliability by performing the teardown, inspection, testing, and rebuild of regulators and aspirators. You will also conduct hydrostatic testing of cylinders and charge reservoir assemblies with the appropriate gases, contributing to the maintenance of critical life-saving equipment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Overhaul and repair regulators used in evacuation slides, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Overhaul and repair aspirators used in evacuation slides, maintaining their functionality and reliability.
  • Perform hydrostatic testing and re-qualification of cylinders to ensure their structural integrity.
  • Charge reservoir assemblies with the correct gases, following precise procedures.
  • Apply your knowledge of cylinder types and specifications to handle a variety of cylinders.
  • Work with a diverse range of cylinders, leveraging your background and experience.
  • Complete required fits and clearances, maintaining meticulous documentation of all processes.
