CBGU JV brings together partners CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnel, Stations and Development (TSD) package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail. Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD. CGBU JV will deliver the underground works of the project, including tunnelling, four new underground stations, an over-station development at Albert Street and an above ground retail plaza at Roma Street.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We currently have an opportunity for a graduate Mechanical/Plant Engineer to join our Plant team on CRR. We are seeking candidates with a background in construction, mining or tunnelling plant and equipment. In this role, you will work with the plant team during the procurement, site establishment and operation phase of the plant required to construct the tunnels and stations on the Cross River Rail project.
THE KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE;
- Assist in the preparation of procurement packages
- Provide technical assistance by preparing sketches to support internal and external communication
- Work with site teams during site installation, commissioning and maintenance of plant and equipment during operationOUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE ARE:
- Strong Mechanical background with interest in tunnelling plant
- Drafting skills (Autodesk)
- Experience with site work and safety processes
- Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills
