Job Description
AECOM is looking to hire a Mechanical Specialist for our Markham, ON location.
This is a full-time position expected to begin as soon as possible.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in preparation of deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, drawings, specifications, selections
- Performing field investigation for incorporating existing conditions into construction documents.
- Performing construction administration duties, such as shop drawing review, RFI response, construction inspection, and respond to client questions.
- Working within a project team environment and possessing good presentation and client interface skills.
- Coordinating work with other project disciplines.
- Working with engineers in making technical mechanical decisions based on building code interpretation and company standard practice.
- Staying abreast of industry standards and approaches, and best practices.
- Ensuring project work is undertaken is accordance with corporate health and safety policies and quality management systems.
- Performing assignments of limited scope and complexity. Uses a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques in solving problems.
- Assisting engineers in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed analysis, design, or computation methods.
- Applying standard practices and techniques in specific situations. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
