JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Join our dynamic team as the Mechanical Sub-Section Manager for the RISE Open Fan Low Pressure Turbine (LPT). In this pivotal role, you will lead a skilled group of Germany and UK-based engineers dedicated to the design and development of groundbreaking mechanical components for the next generation of commercial turbomachine engines. You will be at the core of our New Technology Introduction (NTI) initiatives, collaborating with international teams to shape the future of aviation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in the broader aviation industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Spearhead a culture of innovation and collaboration within the mechanical team, aligning with our core values and integrating within the larger RISE Open Fan team
  • Project Management: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to establish project budgets, allocate resources, and set timelines, ensuring successful technology and program execution.
  • Talent Development: Drive talent growth, matching team capabilities with technology needs and promoting career advancement.
  • Execution: Ensure the team meets milestones by prioritizing tasks and maintaining accountability for deliverables.
  • Communication: Keep open and effective communication channels with all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and humility.
  • Continuous Improvement: Advocate for safety, quality, delivery and cost (SQDC), always in that order. Promote a lean culture and the adoption of GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK model.
