Responsibilities:

Our Water team is growing fast and we are looking for a leader with mechanical experience in the water sector and a passion for managing people and projects to join us.
In this role, your primary responsibility would be to support the growth and development of our Mechanical team in Auckland, working with our other discipline managers in Auckland and Wellington.
You will also contribute to the planning and design of various projects, including large municipal, commercial onsite, and industrial trade wastewater & water treatment plants; pump stations; chemical dosing systems; and many other industrial mechanical installations.
You will need design experience primarily in water and/or wastewater treatment plants and conveyancing to join us in delivering exciting projects across New Zealand.
As a key leader in our water team, this role would see you responsible for line management, coordination of resourcing with other offices and discipline managers; providing discipline specific bid and project teams, including the appropriate use of other offices and global teams; managing team utilisation; planning and managing staff skills and capability and career development.
Your technical background will allow you to coordinate the preparation, as well as review and manage production of designs, technical and commercial specifications, drawings, and schedules on a range of projects, whilst providing support and mentoring to build the capacity of junior engineers and actively lead development of the treatment team.
You would work in close partnership with our Clients and Contractors through all design phases and into the construction phase. This role will give you an opportunity to develop your leadership skills, whilst contributing to the delivery of treatment projects across Aotearoa.
