Mechanical Technician

We are currently looking for mechanical technicians to join our team here. We are a 24/7 operation this role will be day and night shifts, working 12 hours at a time. The good news is, this means that in a 2-week period, you will work 7 shifts and have every other weekend off!
The vital responsibility of the mechanical technician aids in ensuring the smooth running of terminal operations by maintaining the accessibility and reliability of cranes and mobile equipment. Technicians are allocated to an asset group to carry out planned maintenance, repairs, and project-related work as well as provide help during the delivery, inspection, and commissioning of new equipment.
It’s an interesting opportunity to work with machinery like quay cranes, terminal tractors, shuttles, and more. In this varied career, no two days are ever the same. You might need to do critical repairs on one of the machines here after dealing with general gear box maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• National Qualifications Framework – Minimum Level 3 Qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds etc.
• Excellent knowledge of equipment maintenance ideally with experience of some or all of the following: 1) Gear Boxes 2) Engines 3) Hydraulics 4) Lifting equipment 5) Basic understanding of electrical engineering
• Excellent knowledge of equipment maintenance/engineering.
• Experience and knowledge of HSE regulations related to equipment maintenance and activities

NOTE: ALL OUR ROLES ARE SUBJECT TO THE BELOW:
