As a Construction Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in supporting our R&D pilot plant construction projects and ensuring their successful completion. You will be responsible for assisting with various construction tasks, including site preparation, pilot plant assembly, and plant checkout. Join our team and contribute to the growth and success of our construction projects. You will report directly to our Manager of Design and Construction, and you’ll work out of our Riverside, Illinois location on a hybrid work schedule. You must be capable of supporting projects at either of our McCook/Riverside or Des Plaines facility. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with site preparation, including plant demolition and utility installation
- Operate fork lift and assisting in material management
- Perform general labor tasks, including lifting and moving materials, installing mechanical and electrical equipment, and assembling construction equipment and components.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team
- Construct and/or modify pilot plants on a daily basis.
- Collaborate with the project manager and construction team to ensure project milestones are met
