We are now looking for another team mate to join us in (USG Drywall SFZ LLC, based in Salalah, Dhofar.) as (Mechanical Technician).

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment such as screw conveyors, belt conveyors, and bucket elevators.
  • Experience in maintaining pumps, gearboxes, gas burners, forklifts, and front-end loaders.
  • Troubleshooting faults in plant equipment and recommending improvements to prevent failures.
  • Overhauling and replacing plant equipment parts in accordance with the preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Keeping maintenance documents and records up to date, including checklists, maintenance logs, and service reports.
  • Proficient in SAP PM—creating and completing notifications and work orders.
  • Coordinating within the team to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Adhering to workplace safety policies and maintaining 5S standards in the work area.
  • Conducting daily inspections, identifying hazards, and reporting unsafe acts or abnormalities to the immediate supervisor.
  • Understanding engineering drawings and principles.
  • Capable of managing a varied workload and performing basic welding tasks.

  • Strong understanding of Safety, Health, and Environmental practices.
  • Proficient in conducting conditional monitoring of equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of performing assigned tasks thoroughly and safely.
  • Familiarity with the processes and operations of a gypsum board manufacturing plant
