Description:
SUMMARY
We have a Mechanical Tradesperson position available on a permanent full-time basis on a family friendly 15/13 roster at our Moomba, SA site location. This position is integral to our contract service delivery to our clients.
The purpose of this position is to service and maintain large engines and compression equipment. You will be required to carry out inspections, serving and repairs in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and Occupational Health and Safety standards. You will also perform major overhauls and reconditioning of engines and ancillary components.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Our ideal candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Industry relevant trade qualifications
- Post apprenticeship experience working on gas driven engines (Waukesha, Caterpillar, Superior) is highly regarded.
- Post apprenticeship experience working on reciprocating and screw compressors (Ariel, Ingersoll Rand, Howden) is highly regarded.
- Experience with drive train (coupling, jackshaft) rotary laser alignment is regarded as very beneficial.
- Manual driver’s license
- Willingness and ability to work on customer sites around Australia.
- Demonstrated high regard for safety.
- Strong work ethic and a positive team focused attitude with the ability to work independently and unsupervised.

Responsibilities:
You will be required to –
- Perform preventative and service interval maintenance on various models of Waukesha, Caterpillar, Ariel and other gas compression equipment, or wellhead equipment at the customer’s site, in field or in the Enerflex workshops.
- Perform quality repair work, troubleshooting and tuning of gas driven engines, including annual servicing, overhauls and reconditioning of aging assets.
- Commission new gas compression packages and equipment, as required.
