KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge and ability to use hand tools, fasteners & common hardware.
  • Knowledge of machining and fabrication.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-8 years of hands-on experience.
  • Previous assembly experience.

SKILLS:

  • Possesses exceptional technical skills (electronic, electrical, and mechanical), PLC programming and installation, pressure transducers, strain gages, wiring, design and build, and standard electronic test equipment.
  • Must have demonstrated ability in building, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated automated equipment.
  • Ability to utilize CNC Mill, lathe, and welding equipment for fabrication needs.
  • Ability to build controls and electrical panels from electrical blueprints a plus.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required.
  • Must have strong programming, electronics, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic background.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate degree in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, or similar technical field.
  • Forklift license.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assembly and fabrication of automated equipment used to release production parts within the plant.
  • Read and understand mechanical and electrical blueprints & torque specs.
  • Understand and follow TS/ISO, lean principle, and safety procedures.
  • Identify and/or repair quality and workmanship defect as needed.
  • Ability to move to different jobs.
  • Work through challenging situations
  • Make, repair and test low and high voltage electrical connections.
  • Using hand tools while crawling in, out, under and around the equipment
  • Material Handling
  • Support in all test stand activities including build, runoff, gage R&R, programming, calibration, troubleshooting, and modification.
  • Assure equipment compliance to all safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.
