Mechatronics Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

The Mechatronics Engineer III works on the electronic and mechanical design of Bluberi products and participates in the technological decision process related to electronics and mechanical implementation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics or equivalent, or relevant experience;
• In-depth knowledge of Solidworks or other 3D modeling software;
• Ability to design electronic circuits/PCB;
• 10 years and more of experience with mechanical and electronics product development;
• Knowledge of certification process for various designations such as UL, FCC, etc.;
• Ability to effectively communicate in English and French;
• Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Well organized, attention to detail and thoroughness.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Works on the implementation of projects that involve mechanics/electronics;
• May need to supervise external contractors assigned to projects;
• Documents process for Bluberi cabinets and other components as required;
• Participate in various design processes for PCB/Electronics and Mechanical design
• Ensures electronic/mechanics component qualification;
• Participates in various certifications like UL, FCC, Intertek, etc.;
• Troubleshoots complex electronic/mechanic issues and ensures appropriate resolution;
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
