Description:
Job Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Experienced and proficient in phlebotomy
- Preferred experience in IV therapy insertion and administration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication and outgoing personality
- Marketing experience preferred but not required
- Industry experience preferred, but not require
Responsibilities:
- Patient triage
- Autoclaving
- Cleaning patient rooms after visit and preparing for next patient
- Phlebotomy
- Intramuscular and Subcutaneous injections
- Administering IV infusions
- Assisting with front office tasks such as greeting patients, answering phones, follow up patient phone calls that do not require a provider call
- Assist with insurance verification, preauthorization, billing and charge capture review for appropriate patient visits
- Taking and recording patient vitals
- Maintain and document patient chart with current information and patient condition, care provided, medications and vaccines
- Function as a healthcare advocate and performs administrative process for scheduling and specialty referrals
- Coordinate care provided to the patient arranging any lab or diagnostic imaging or procedures
- Schedules labs or other required testing prior to appointment
- Obtain authorizations for outpatient imaging services and prescriptions as needed
- Follow up on lab, diagnostic and testing reports and consult notes
- Maintain an inventory of office medical supplies
- Monitor and complete maintenance logs for necessary office equipment.
