Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Media Buyer located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is set within the bustling landscape of the media industry and involves the strategic purchase of media space across various platforms. As a Media Buyer, you will be instrumental in developing media buying strategies, negotiating costs with local media, and analyzing campaign performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute media buying strategies across several channels including local broadcast TV, Radio, Print, Outdoor, and Digital
  • Negotiate with local media to secure cost-effective schedules
  • Analyze and project audience levels for various media platforms
  • Compile and maintain media schedules, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage budget worksheets and ensure alignment with media strategies
  • Foster effective communication with clients regarding plans and purchases
  • Conduct detailed post-campaign reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance
  • Utilize media buying software systems effectively, ensuring optimal results
  • Collaborate effectively within a fast-paced environment, managing deadlines and delivering results
  • Ensure a strong understanding of local TV buying and apply this knowledge to media buying strategies.
  • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in media buying
  • Demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in broadcast media
  • Proficient in media buying strategies and techniques
  • Strong budgeting skills with the ability to manage financial resources efficiently
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure the best prices for media slots
  • Ability to analyze and interpret media data to inform buying decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with media vendors
  • Proficiency in using media buying software and tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field would be advantageous
  • Ability to stay updated with industry trends and advancements
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple media buying projects simultaneously
