What your role and typical day might look like.
In this role your key purpose is to play an active role in supporting, delivering and executing, and monitoring media campaigns, both traditional/offline and digital media. This involves you to be connected to every part of the process, work as a part of the team, communicate effectively and where possible, make recommendations to meet campaign objectives and return on investment.
Reporting to the Business Manager, this Executive role working closely across all media departments to ensure cohesive and timely campaign management, communicate across various media and digital suppliers to ensure campaigns are live, optimised and reporting back to team and client with progress.
This includes.
- Briefing media partners and evaluate proposals in line with the team’s planning process, developing and maintaining media schedules across client portfolio.
- Briefing media suppliers and partner agencies to collate responses and ensuring the timely delivery of material.
- Prepare the buying and implementation of digital and traditional media, and continually striving to bring new and innovative solutions to the table.
- Collaborate across specialist teams such as Search, Ad Ops and Programmatic, and assisting with project management to ensure timely and successful outcomes, whilst managing risks and issues.
- Assist in the preparation of various reports including post campaign analysis, competitive and planning documents, and financial reporting. This included championing global tools to assist with global reporting requirements.
- To ensure correct client billing by addressing any account queries and checking proformas.
- Assisting the team with running audience/channel numbers and preparing recommendation documents.
- Continuously building on your understanding of the New Zealand media marketplace and industries in within the client portfolio.
A bit about you to be successful in the role
- At least 12 months of experience in similar role such as Media Account Assistant, Coordinator, Executive or Media Planner role (traditional and/or digital). Any global advertising agency experience is a big advantage.
- Shows initiative to think ahead and a willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive communication skills and highly collaborative as you will be a part of a team.
- High attention to detail and comfortable with numbers. You will need to understand a good level of maths, understanding of media terminology and be able to analyse campaign performance for reporting.
- Comfortable across the Microsoft suite of productivity tools – Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with planning and research tools such as Arianna, Roy Morgan, AQX and CMI will be highly beneficial.
- Any experience with digital tools such as Facebook Ad Manager, Google Ad suite (Analytics, Campaign Manager, Data Studio or Tag Manager) would be highly beneficial too.
- Previous use of billing system such as Pegasus will be highly beneficial.
