Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Media Manager to join our Dell Technologies EMEA team at EssenceMediaCom London. As a Manager on the German account, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of DE and act as the market lead reporting directly to the EMEA AD. You will be the main point of contact for our DE clients and be responsible for harnessing the skills of the various digital and local activation teams to deliver maximum return on investment.
You will be responsible for leading and supporting the team with the planning and buying of media for our client, Dell. This includes activation and efficient running of campaigns, negotiating with media vendors, analyzing data, and presenting recommendations to clients. You will also have the responsibility for maintaining client relationships and working closely with other specialist teams within the agency. The Dell account operates across the full funnel of marketing channels, from key offline ATL vehicles such as TV and Radio, all the way through to Paid Search and Retargeting so you will gain a varied experience of media.
This role will allow you to develop an understanding of Tech, B2B and Ecommerce marketing principles that are a key part of Dell’s success as a company. You will also gain a strong understanding of how the German media market operates by conducting audience and market trend analysis. You will need a good skillset in negotiation, but this role allows you the opportunity to have a direct relationship and deliver insightful inputs in conversations with senior stakeholders.
There is a particular need for Dell Technologies in EMEA to provide a best-in-class evolution of approach to digital innovation, building on our ways of working with vendors in a bespoke way based on our client’s needs, but also providing new strategies and recommendations in line with the cookie-less future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate planning activities between clients and internal stakeholders
  • Lead the development of media plans for the DE market across all funnels
  • Be the main day to day contact for the Marketing Manager clients within Dell EMEA
  • Strategically dissect and question briefs, whilst proactively offering up new ideas and best practices
  • Manage the Planner Buyer and Executives to plan and deploy the quarterly campaigns
  • Co-ordinate and collaborate with local EM teams (in Munich) as well as specialist functions (ie. Paid Search, Paid Social, PBU)
  • Oversee reporting and optimisation of campaigns, ensuring the PB provides accurate and informative analysis to the clients on a frequent basis
  • Lead conversations with key media-owners (publishers) discussing current performance and future strategies
  • Oversee the preparation of Response to Brief presentations for our clients and deliver these clearly and confidently
  • Work with the Digital Director, Associate Director and Business Director to develop long term strategies and build out testing and innovation roadmaps
  • Participate in client calls/meetings as required and contribute to presentation production
  • Identify key risks to the delivery and performance against client briefs regularly and manage solutions to mitigate such risk, with support from their line manager
  • Contribute constructively to the identification and improvement of central processes which could deliver higher performance
  • Remain up to date with market trends and media owners’ offerings to advise on future planning strategy
  • Manage the development of the Planner Buyer and oversee the progress of the Executives
  • Oversee the team’s day-to-day delivery against their objectives
