Tracxn (www.tracxn.com) is a product-based company providing a research and deal-sourcing platform for Venture Capital, Private Equity, Corp Dev, and other professionals working around the startup ecosystem. We are a team of 700 working professionals serving our customers across the globe. Our clients include Andreessen Horowitz, Google, Samsung, Matrix Partners, and Citi among others.

JOB SUMMARY

The Media Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing media strategies to enhance the organization’s brand, manage its reputation, and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels. This role requires strong media relations skills, creative thinking, good content writing skills and enhanced communication and presentation skills.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in journalism, PR, media relations, or a related field.
-
Proven track record of successful media campaigns and managing media relations.
-
Experience working with PR agencies or as an in-house PR / Media Relations - Grasp over print, online and electronic media

Strong knowledge of media trends and editorial activities
-
Good understanding of and interest in the Startup ecosystem

Strong creative writing, proof-reading, and editing skills
Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong media contacts and networking abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing tools.

Responsibilities:

Build & Boost Media Relations
-
Build & manage relationships with targeted journalists & media houses (including foreign and regional media)
-
Identify key messages, target audiences, and communication channels to effectively convey the organization’s goals and values.
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets.
-
Pitch stories, manage media inquiries, and organize press conferences and media events.
-
Monitor and analyze media coverage, and prepare press releases, media kits, and other materials.
Create Effective Content
-
Write and edit press releases,quotes from the company’s side to make compelling narratives”, articles,
-
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all platforms.

Oversee the production of Media Draft materials, including brochures, videos, and presentations.

Monitor social media trends and conversations, and provide timely responses to issues or opportunities.

Organize and participate in events, trade shows, and other activities to promote the organization.

Monitor the effectiveness of media campaigns through analytics and KPIs.
