THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Media Relations Senior Manager with a talent for strategic media relations and reputation management with experience in climate change or the investment industry. This interesting and varied role provides an opportunity to be at the heart of the investor agenda on addressing climate change.
The role would suit a communications professional with strong media relationships in the UK and ideally the EU, real passion for addressing climate change and excellent stakeholder management skills.
You must be able to identify and assess reputational risks and opportunities, and to develop communications strategies to manage these optimally. Importantly, the role requires someone to think about reputation management beyond the lens of media relations only.
Stakeholder management will be key to this role. You will work across all IIGCC programme activities, engage with our members on media relations activities and work with communications professionals on joint initiatives.
You will have an important and active role in helping promote and protect the reputations and profile of major global initiatives, including Climate Action 100+. Your work will contribute towards delivering real-world impact and helping drive forward some of the most significant investor-led initiatives to address climate change and nature loss.
The Media Relations Senior Manager will play an integral role in delivering the overall strategy of the communications team and will get exposure to a variety of communications disciplines and outputs (including events, content, brand, digital and social media). Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will be part of an established communications team of nine.
