Reporting into the Head of Medical Affairs you will provide medical expertise to ensure the proper support for Medical Affairs. Provide fair balanced, objective, scientific input, and education about disease state, therapeutic landscape, and product(s). Ensure medical activities related to the promotion of our products are compliant.
Ensure information distribution, documentation, labeling, and promotional materials for marketed products in compliance with corporate standards and government/industry regulations. Enhance medical and scientific knowledge by engaging in peer-to-peer interactions with KOLs, investigators, and other healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific and medical expertise on the assigned portfolio product(s).
  • Contribute strategically with scientific/medical input in the development of brand medical plans and overall brand plans, including during brand launches.
  • Serve as medical expert and contributes to strategic product(s) plan.
  • Implement strategies for scientific interactions within the medical community including main opinion leaders and patient advocacy groups.
  • Support development of medical affairs plans throughout the lifecycle of the brand(s), including operations on logistical planning and implementation of medical projects, late phase studies, Investigator Initiated Study (IIS), publications, data analysis/interpretation.
  • You will participate in scientific meetings and conferences to maintain knowledge base and understand upcoming development in the field.
  • Engaging with key experts, Health Care Professionals, regional / local institutions, and organizations in the territory through appropriate high-level scientific interaction.
  • You will collaborate by providing medical input and scientific reviews to cross-functional teams, including within Medical Affairs (Medical Information, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, CHE), Market Access, Marketing, and Commercial.
  • Ensuring internal training and continuous medical support for the sales and marketing organization and for the medical review of promotional and educational materials

Qualifications:

  • Degree in nursing, pharmacy, or advanced degree in science/medicine required. MD, PhD, PharmD highly preferred.
  • 5+ years’ relevant pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical industry experience with a Medical Affairs focus preferred (medical advisor role).
  • General clinical trial experience
  • Knowledge of therapeutic specialty area
  • Ability to use scientific knowledge.
  • Must understand the Canadian healthcare environment.
  • Flexibility for national and international travel (40% travel time)

  • Assurer la formation interne et le soutien médical continu de l’organisation des ventes et du marketing, ainsi que l’examen médical du matériel promotionnel et éducatif.

Qualifications et compétences clés:

  • Diplôme d’infirmier, de pharmacien ou diplôme supérieur en science/médecine (MD, PhD, PharmD) de préférence.
  • Plus de 5 ans d’expérience pertinente dans l’industrie pharmaceutique/biopharmaceutique avec un accent sur les affaires médicales (rôle de conseiller médical).
  • Expérience générale des essais cliniques
  • Connaissance du domaine thérapeutique spécialisé
  • Capacité à tirer parti des connaissances scientifiques.
  • Bonne compréhension de l’environnement des soins de santé au Canada.Flexibilité pour les déplacements nationaux et internationaux (40 % du temps de déplacement).
