About the Role
In consultation with stakeholders, plan and coordinate the allocation of junior medical staff to ensure term allocations meet both service needs and the statutory requirements of the Medical Board of Australia and the Australian Medical Council National Framework for Prevocational (PGY1 and PGY2) Medical Training.

Provide advice and information to junior medical staff to ensure their professional and training needs are met in accordance with legislative, policy, and system requirements.

  • Identify a need for information and respond to medical allocation information requests by appropriately gathering and sourcing information for analysis, completing analysis, providing advice as requested.
  • Negotiate with interns and house officers on term allocations and annual leave preferences, ensuring these align with medical officers’ needs and hospital service requirements, and comply with the standards of the Medical Board and AMC National Framework for Prevocational (PGY1 and PGY2) Medical Training.
  • In consultation with the RMO Coordinators, provide administration support for the annual Intern & RMO campaigns.
