We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Billing/Claims/Collections specialist in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This role is based in the healthcare industry and will involve handling and resolving medical claims and billing issues. The role will also require accurate record-keeping and efficient processing of customer applications.

• Handle medical claims billing and denial issues, including research and reprocessing
• Process customer applications efficiently and accurately
• Maintain precise records of customer credit and billing information
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary
• Apply skills such as Claims Processing, Medical Denials, and Billing in daily tasks and responsibilities
• Ensure all activities adhere to industry standards and regulations
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Continually update skills and knowledge to enhance service delivery
• Provide feedback and insights on processes for improvement.
• Proficiency in Claims Processing, Medical Denials, and Billing
• Comprehensive understanding of medical billing and collections processes
• Ability to accurately process medical claims in a timely manner
• Experience in managing and resolving medical denials
• Strong data entry and computer skills, including proficiency in medical billing software
• Excellent communication skills for liaising between healthcare providers and insurance companies
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
• Good problem-solving skills to address billing issues and discrepancies
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations related to billing and claims
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
