We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Medical Billing Clerk in Boca Raton, Florida. The selected candidate will play a vital role in our healthcare industry team, processing insurance claims, maintaining patient records and ensuring efficient billing operations. This role is instrumental in liaising with third-party payors, handling customer inquiries, and understanding managed care contracts and reimbursement processes. • Processing all types of insurance claims including private, Medicare, Workers’ Compensation, PPO and HMO
• Coding claims with CPT and ICD-9 according to the findings in the medical record
• Managing the mailing process of claims to third-party payors
• Verifying patient benefits and handling secondary insurance filings
• Working in coordination with the transcription service for accurate records
• Completing the deposit slip and ensuring accurate accounting
• Understanding and executing duties in line with managed care contracts and reimbursement processes
• Addressing chart deficiencies in medical records
• Answering phones and handling customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Performing other assigned duties related to medical billing and customer service.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Prior experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Expertise in Computerized Billing
• Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM
• Knowledge of Epic Software
• Experience with About Time software
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls
• Knowledge of Billing Functions
• Experience in Medical Billing
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
