Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist
Company: Twin Cities Physicians
Location: Golden Valley, MN
Compensation: $23- $24 an hour
Schedule: Full-Time (Mon. – Fri.)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Twin Cities Physicians is growing and is looking for a new addition to our fabulous billing department! As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for generating and submitting Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party claims. You will be accountable for accounts receivable, collections, cash postings, as well as other miscellaneous billing tasks. With your keen attention to detail and accuracy, you will create a positive impact on our work!
MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
- Understanding of insurance requirements
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to organize, monitor, and track claims in relation to Revenue Cycle Management
- Familiarity with payer provider portals and the ability to navigate multiple software applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft applications
- Discretion in handling and communicating sensitive information
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Demonstrated attentiveness to detail
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved accommodation/exemption
Responsibilities:
- Insurance Billing and Collections
- Understand the Medical Insurance Claims Process for Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial payers, and Work Comp
- Claim Scrubbing
- Collaborate with Clinical and Operational Managers to ensure continuity between the client services that are scheduled, performed, billed, and collected
- Manage claim rejections and denials
- Accounts receivable – Resolve outstanding insurance and patient accounts
- Patient relations – Assist with patient calls, reviewing balances, and accepting payments
