Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist
Company: Twin Cities Physicians
Location: Golden Valley, MN
Compensation: $23- $24 an hour
Schedule: Full-Time (Mon. – Fri.)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Twin Cities Physicians is growing and is looking for a new addition to our fabulous billing department! As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for generating and submitting Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party claims. You will be accountable for accounts receivable, collections, cash postings, as well as other miscellaneous billing tasks. With your keen attention to detail and accuracy, you will create a positive impact on our work!

MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
  • Understanding of insurance requirements
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to organize, monitor, and track claims in relation to Revenue Cycle Management
  • Familiarity with payer provider portals and the ability to navigate multiple software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications
  • Discretion in handling and communicating sensitive information
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Demonstrated attentiveness to detail
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved accommodation/exemption

Responsibilities:

  • Insurance Billing and Collections
  • Understand the Medical Insurance Claims Process for Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial payers, and Work Comp
  • Claim Scrubbing
  • Collaborate with Clinical and Operational Managers to ensure continuity between the client services that are scheduled, performed, billed, and collected
  • Manage claim rejections and denials
  • Accounts receivable – Resolve outstanding insurance and patient accounts
  • Patient relations – Assist with patient calls, reviewing balances, and accepting payments
