The opportunity:
As a Medical Claims Specialist in this 12-month role, you will be responsible for the assessment of medical claims by liaising with clients, health professionals and advisers and processing claim payments ensuring a high level of accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing each claim under the benefits of the policy and ensuring the claim is applicable and within the parameters of the policy
  • Customer queries are promptly responded to with an empathic and caring approach
  • Liaising with providers, including hospitals and specialists, about client claims
  • Supporting the Health Claims Manager with new initiatives and process improvements
  • Contributing to a positive team culture.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Experience working in insurance or a medical-related role
  • Knowledge in understanding policies and medical terminology
  • Able to work with a variety of stakeholders and create positive working relationships
  • Savvy using several systems and applications
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
