Description:
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Collections Specialist to join our team in Inglewood, California. This role is within the medical infusion industry and will initially be based in an office setting before transitioning to a hybrid remote role. As a Medical Collections Specialist, you will be tasked with handling collections from out of network insurance companies and dealing with aged accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Out of Network Collections experience
Handle collections from out of network insurance companies, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
- Manage aged accounts and negotiate settlement amounts with insurance companies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer accounts, tracking all interactions and transactions.
- Utilize online web portals and phone communication for insurance follow-ups.
- Process appeals and handle denials, working to resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Apply expertise in Pharmacy Claim, Medical Collections, Medical Billing, Infusion, and Medical Denials to daily responsibilities.
- Monitor customer accounts to identify any irregularities or issues, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Adapt to changing work environments, transitioning from an office setting to a hybrid remote role.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in handling Pharmacy Claims is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in Medical Collections is essential.
- Knowledge of Medical Billing procedures is necessary.
- Experience in Infusion processes is desirable.
- Ability to handle Medical Denials effectively is crucial.
