QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCES AND SKILLS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ Biomedical Engineering Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience within a hospital, medical center and IT & Biomedical Engineering department for medical device integration.
Licensure: Not Applicable
Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English Languages
Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in Hardware & software installation, troubleshooting etc.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

For the purpose of Hospital’s new and existing medical devices to be connect with EMR/PACS and daily routine support to end user for medical device values/parameters/vitals automation with EMR. Also, basic support for IT Hardware and software related to medical device integration.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

• To support end user for medical devices integration related issues.
• To use the new advance technology to integration new medical device for EMR/PACS.
• To assist PACS Admin for EMR/PACS & IT related work.
• Integration process requirement and documentation for new medical devices procurement with purchase department & Cerner.
• To support day to day operations for medical Equipment including EMR/PACS workflow, image archiving, automation etc.
• To ensure all medical device interface into EMR/PACS system functions 24hrs and availability to end users.
• Troubleshooting of Hardware & Software problems for EMR/PACS.
• Medical device network configuration & troubleshoot network problems if any.
• Proactive monitoring of all medical device application and services.
• To assist IT Department in new various IT project, shows the skill as and when required.
• To provide training to end-users after implemented new medical device integration project.
• Ensures all applicable department, hospital, and Accreditation guidelines are met.
• Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed.
• Provides and promotes people centered care.
• Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.
