About the job
We are seeking a highly skilled and scientifically driven Medical Engagement Lead, passionate for shaping the market and making an impact for people undergoing Bone Marrow Transplant or Solid Organ Transplant. This role is critical in advancing our Transplant Franchise through deep scientific engagement, both internally and externally. As the scientific lead, you will be responsible for educating internal teams on the latest developments within transplantation, and developing and executing the insight generation plans on an MCO level.
In addition, you will be overseeing all medical driven studies and real-world evidence projects. As an externally focused position you will also be leading the strategic scientific discussions with external stakeholders that will shape the future of our transplantation efforts.
Responsibilities:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In close collaboration with the transplant medical engagement leads, develop insight generation and data-gap strategies and activities in the NE region.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Digital Opinion Leaders (DOLs), and top researchers in the transplantation field. Facilitate advanced scientific discussions and activities to enhance the understanding and adoption of our therapies.
- Serve as the foremost expert in hematology and transplantation, delivering evidence-based education to internal teams, including local medical engagement leads, Market Access, and Commercial functions.
- Co-drive the regional execution of all medical studies, including Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS), ESR, and Sanofi-sponsored trials, ensuring the highest scientific standards and strategic alignment.
- Contribute to the design and drive the generation of real-world evidence (RWE) by identifying key research opportunities, collaborating with investigators, and ensuring the collection and analysis of high-quality, relevant data, to produce actionable insights that can shape clinical practice and support regulatory and market access strategies.
- Organize and lead NE scientific advisory boards in collaboration with medical transplant team, synthesizing expert input to refine and enhance our medical and scientific strategies, and ensure external feedback is integrated.
- Represent Sanofi as a leading scientific voice at national and international conferences, symposia, and congresses in close alignment and collaboration with the medical and cross functional transplant team. Present research data, engage in scientific debates, and contribute to the global dialogue on transplantation.
- Actively participate in the scientific community and engage with clinical and scientific organisations in the NE region.
- Monitor and analyze emerging scientific data and trends, providing strategic insights. Rapidly assimilate the new scientific data and integrate it into the MCO strategies, ensuring ongoing relevance and impact.
- Collaborate closely with local medical engagement leads to support stakeholder engagement, local advisory boards, and reimbursement processes.
- Work closely with the commercial counterpart / Launch lead, to drive the pre-launch activities in alignment with the MCO KII’s.
About you
Experience: Previous and solid experience in field-based medical roles or roles in Medical Affair Hematology is a plus

Education: MD, Pharmacist, PharmD, PhD, MsC in relevant area
Languages: Fluency in spoken and written business English.
