DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Microbiologist Scientist works exclusively in the Microbiology section of the Laboratory. Performs routine laboratory testing and analysis that require well developed, cognitive, manipulative and problem solving skills for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Attendant activities include operating test equipment, monitoring the quality of testing, and verifying and reporting test results. Performs more complex test procedures in the Microbiology section. May be responsible for the technical supervision of employees in the absence of the Clinical Specialist and Technologist III.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Sufficient for license.
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California upon hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years - Experience.
