DESCRIPTION

The Medical Technologist II is responsible for pre-analytic and post-analytic testing of blood and body fluids to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Will perform other duties as assigned. May function as the shift supervisor in the absence of the laboratory director, laboratory supervisor, or laboratory lead by aiding in the establishment of laboratory goals and objectives, supervising all aspects of the laboratory in regard to guest relations, human resource management, and quality assurance. Involves general guidance and direction by the department director and department supervisor.

Shift Details: Full time, Variable shift, 8 Hour Daily Overtime 80 Hour Week

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree: Chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology.
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts Or
• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology (Or
• Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
• Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government
• Five years: Clinical Laboratory Testing Experience
• One year: Experience in a high complexity lab
