  • Diploma in Clinical Laboratory Sciences with 2 years of experience
  • BLS certification
  • SCFHS license

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

Within the mission, vision and values of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAAUH), performs a variety of laboratory procedures in accordance with the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs duties in accordance with the Joint Commission of International Accreditation (JCIA), College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and KAAUH Laboratory Standards.
  • Performs duties in compliance with Hospital Policies and Safety Standards.
  • Performs day-to-day duties in the assigned Section in accordance with the established departmental / hospital SOPs.
  • Works on evening or night shift and/or under on-call schedule.
  • Performs and documents equipment function and user maintenance (if needed)
  • Assists in the training and education activities according to the section / departmental policies.
  • Participates in the Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.
  • Performs a variety of procedures using established laboratory techniques on both manual and automated equipment according to the employee section.
  • Performs and documents all required QC / QA measures that’s approved by the section / department.
  • Performs any work-related clerical duties.
  • Performs patient’s samples and any proficiency surveys as applicable.
  • Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
  • Participates in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
