THIS POSTING
This posting will be used to fill 1 permanent position working 75 hours bi-weekly. The competition is open to both anglophone and bilingual (French) candidates and will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions. Please note that preference will be given to Bilingual (French) candidates for any Bilingual (French) positions that may come up in any of the clinics within the Integrated Health Services branch.
This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.
WHO WE ARE.
Reporting to the various Clinic Managers of the Integrated Health Service’s Branch, this position provides program, administrative and reception services to ensure effective and efficient support to services, activities, staff, and clients of the Yukon Midwifery Clinic (YMC), Centre de santé Constellation Health Centre (CSCHC), Chronic Conditions Support Program (CCSP), and Whitehorse Walk-In Clinic (WWIC), including both medical office reception and assistant services. The primary responsibility is providing support to the clinic health professionals and the clinic clients/patients, while maintaining the legal and ethical boundaries of client confidentiality

Essential qualifications

- Experience providing customer service to a diverse clientele in a health and/or wellness environment.
- Experience in managing multiple tasks/demands.
- Experience in transcription/data entry, clinical information is preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a medical office is an asset.
- Formal educational as an administrative medical assistant is an asset.
- Experience using electronic health record systems such as Plexia, Panorama and/or Meditech including searching and adding patient records is an asset.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:
- May be required to participate in an afterhours schedule to support clinic services outside of regular business hours.
- The successful candidate will be required to use a fleet vehicle to pick up supplies or make deliveries on behalf of the clinic or branch
- This position lives and works in Whitehorse and is required to rotate between clinics
