Calian Health is currently seeking a highly organized and efficient Medical Office Assistant for a 3 month contract to provide clinical administrative support in Yukon. This position requires a dedicated individual capable of managing client charts, coordinating medical travel arrangements, answering phones, and booking appointments. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a remote work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely, with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with remote communication tools such as video conferencing and electronic medical record systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

Client Chart Management:
Organize and maintain client charts in accordance with established protocols.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of client records, including medical history, treatments, and consultations.
Medical Travel Coordination:
Arrange medical travel for patients requiring specialized treatment or consultations.
Coordinate transportation and accommodation arrangements, adhering to budgetary constraints and scheduling requirements.
Administrative Support:
Answer phones and respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and external stakeholders.
Assist in booking appointments, managing calendars, and ensuring timely follow-up on patient requests.
Remote Office Management:
Utilize remote communication tools effectively to collaborate with healthcare team members and external partners.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations when handling sensitive medical information.
Northern Living Support:
Assist in providing daily northern living allowances to team members as per established guidelines.
Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for staff traveling to remote locations, ensuring comfort and safety.
