Description:
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our rheumatology specialty clinic.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience preferred. Either as a medical receptionist/medical office assistant, hospital administrator, dental office assistant or having a medical office diploma
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems preferred; experience with Accuro would be ideal but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient records and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Bilingual in French and English is preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) Accuro
- Collect and verify patient information, including demographics and insurance details
- Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks as needed, ensuring efficient workflow within the office.
- Process incoming faxes, referrals and other correspondence in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
