Description:
CPP Medical Specialties is seeking a full-time Medical Office Assistant for CPG - Medical Oncology in Johnstown, PA. The MOA is responsible for performing clinical/secretarial and general office duties in an outpatient setting. Ability to meet age-specific needs; adult and geriatric Oncology/Hematology patients.

EDUCATION:
Required: Graduate of a Medical Office Assistant or CNA program or appropriate on the job training in a medical office setting OR current student in healthcare field with appropriate training.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Related healthcare experience.

Responsibilities:
Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare patients for exam.
Perform clinical duties that include EKGs, giving injections, monitoring vital signs.
Assist physician on patient exams as required and when requested.
Document in the electronic medical record patient vitals, updates med lists, assist in completing electronic flow sheets and document electronically all treatments, injections etc.
Transcribe lab and other medical data to charts, as needed. Collection of statistics including CQI data.
Transcription of medical reports for the physician as well as transcription of letters and other correspondence.
Perform receptionist duties including computer registration and scheduling of patient appointments.
Travel to offices as needed to cover vacations, sick time, etc.
