Hillside Optometry Clinic is looking for a Part-Time position that may potentially turn into full time at our practice in Victoria, BC. We are Located in Hillside Shopping Centre.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Communication with patients including in person, by phone and by email.
· Administering pre-testing services such as retinal imaging, Ocular coherence topographies, and visual field testing.
· Customer service activities including appointment bookings, prescription printouts, and checking patients in and out of the office.
· Office administration tasks including processing mail, filing, and faxing.
· Arranging and maintaining retail display areas
· Opening and closing of the office
· Handling referrals for specialists and notifying patients.
· Ordering and receiving contact lenses
· Training patients on contact lens insertion and removal
· MSP and private insurance billings
· Checking and maintaining inventory
· Upholding excellent customer service standards, using your charisma and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work alone or in a group environment in a fast paced environment.
Previous Optical or medical office experience an asset but not required (willing to train the right person!) You must be passionate about great customer service, excellent communication and exceptional patient care is a must! Ability to multitask in a fast-paced independent environment and willingness to learn. We are open Monday to Saturday.
Fulltime employees qualify for benefits after a three-month period.
Wages to be determined upon experience and may be above stated wages.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
